Remote Site Launch 3 World Peace Project's (RSL3WPP) 2025
It is with great excitement I reach out to you and your organization to ask for your support in the ongoing efforts of Remote Site Launch 3 (RSL3). My name is Melbourne Sann and I'm the owner and executive director of RSL3 inc. a non profit, 501c3 historical museum located in Northeastern North Dakota. RSL3 has elected to join with individual donors and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) through grants promoting its annual World Peace Project (WPP). RSL3 will be launching its first 2025 WPP and continue hosting annual performances at its former Anti Ballistic Missile (ABM) Site. Listed in the National Register of Historic places in 2018, RSL3 was part of The Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex (SMSC). The SMSC consisted of six sites spread out over a 60 mile radius and was used in defending our offensive Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM)'s. Historians and scholars alike agree that the SMSC and RSL3 were instrumental in promoting world peace with the USSR (Russia) during the original 1972 Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty or SALT agreement. What better place to continue promoting world peace then RSL3.
It will be through reflection of songs and awareness of dance in our productions, which will win over audiences of all nationalities, transcending across all human cultures. It is with your help RSL3 will retrofit its 43 acre site and provide its first ever 2025 World Peace Project. RSL3's productions will be filmed and shared across the internet because of the deep "individual personal impact" the World Peace Project's (WPP) will have on the human soul and mind, conscious and unconscious. We at RSL3 will join with people from around the world to unite and focus attention on a world stage by literally "spelling out" the way to a peaceful coexistence. RSL3s' has the ability to spell out four letter words on our 16 silo missile field covers and will use attire from countries around the world having nuclear capabilities, giving us a unique delivery system while promoting a world audience. Our productions will be filmed at night using the sites security camera array and extensive lighting scheme. A enhanced sound system, 40 ft. inflatable movie screen, dancers, and various props to include a four person "L.O.V.E." group will also be employed to enhance the messages in each song. We intend to use seven influential songs and 16 dancers to take attendees from an infatuation with war and missiles, to free your mind of such thoughts, and examine how people are people who want to make the world turn around to reflect and search for peace. We will then take a look through the window as we play mind games toward a enlightenment, and then finally imagine, which is the blueprint for a peaceful coexistence worldwide. The artist of the selected songs, each with its individual message, will be organized and combined to deliver a overall story-line and message of world peace. The WPP productions will premier with a live audiences and its recording will be edited and put up on RSL3's website to be viewed from around the world.
RSL3's original site design included siren horns mounted on the exhaust tower and the use of laser as a security features around the missile field. RSL3 will work within its historical guidelines to retrofit these former capabilities into its productions. Prospective teams for future WPP's will originate from three different countries and present their message of peace (using song and dance) and will follow the designed delivery to help transform the world away from conflict. RSL3 will host the yearly productions at its historical museum, with teams lodging on site in its 12500 sq. foot underground facility. RSL3 was formally attributed to world peace, (1972 salt treaty) and has chosen to build a peace platform carrying on the world peace initiative, building on what those before us have achieved. With the current situation in the world, RSL3WPP will provide yearly "peace focus productions" building the needed push-back to balance the war/peace pendulum. The trillion dollar push of the pendulum towards world war must have a equal "push back" towards world peace if we are to "free our minds" and humanity from mass destruction. At RSL3 we believe that by providing a "place" or "platform", in which people who have a peaceful message to get out to the world, is more appropriate then having them hijack a freeway, tunnel, colleges etc., to feel as though their message is being heard. Make no mistake RSL3WPP will not tolerate hate, prejudice, discrimination, exclusion, etc. and will not be hijacked itself. We will however produce productions which promote world peace and may be controversial by addressing current world situations. Topics which address humanity, karma, or personal reflection on different levels may not be seen as mainstream today, but may seem more relevant in the future.
World Peace Project Concept
RSL3's first WPP's scheduled for the fall of 2025, is the brainchild of Melbourne Sann the owner of RSL3 missile site tours. Melbourne was applying for a million dollar funding opportunity with the National Endowment for the Humanities' (NEH) 250th celebration of the United States of America's theme, "a more perfect union" when this idea formed into a just cause. In Melbourne's eyes "a more perfect union" would be "a more peaceful union, or world peace". Melbourne then thought about big peace movement pioneers and John Lennon came to mind. John Lennon was murdered outside his home in NY in 1980. " I remember it like it was yesterday", says Melbourne, "I was just about to graduate high school and I remember thinking, "the war machine just ran right over him".... and now who's going to look after peace? Melbourne believes John Lennon was killed because of his promotion of world peace and a love for humanity, which we all should share allowing it to grow. Having said that, he believes we as a human species have to "pick up the peace ball" and "play-on". You see, there's no money in peace outside of a tee shirt. If John Lennon were alive today there would be a continued peace movement, which Melbourne feels would have transformed the world saving countless lives and heartache...just imagine. John Lennon is gone but in his spirit of peace, RSL3's first WPP will be dedicated to him and feature the songs mind games and imagine. Having been raised during the cold war, Melbourne remembers watching the evening news and what seemed like a continual assault on world peace with elevated Saber Rattling and beating of war drums between those with Nuclear capabilities. Melbourne takes the untimely death of John Lennon personally, and at the age of 61 feels the inspiration and responsibility to create some kind of lasting impact on world peace, reflecting on influential artist and ideas similar to those John Lennon put forth in his songs. Future WPPs' main focus will be on a peaceful coexistence with unique ideas originating from various nationalities meshed together. The concept of RSL3WPP's is to instill a peaceful awareness into humanity as a whole, then to follow up every year with that awareness. RSL3 believes these peaceful productions will have a lasting effect on the masses, who may then elect those who share in that view of peace. After all... peace is something we can all live with.
World Mission
Our mission at RSL3WPP is to capture, enlighten and entertain a world audience with musical productions promoting world peace. By exposing audiences to mind provoking productions using song, dance and RSL3's unique missile site's abilities, we plan to open minds to the possibilities of a peaceful coexistence. At RSL3 our productions teams will be as unique as our messages toward world peace. Teams will range from 3-12 people and should originate from 3 different countries minimum. Our website will generate worldwide interest and offer a multiple multi-lingual sections, allowing multi-cultures to interact with translation between nations. Comment sections and dialogue will cater to viewers and production teams wishing to sign up for productions and we will use questionnaires to help link multicultural teams. Worldwide production teams will compete and present their proposed message of world peace to RSL3WPP board of directors, who will then support their future WPP's. If future productions are worthy, or parts are, they will be promoted through the combination virtual reality program (VRP), our mobile and permanent exhibitions and may be streamed live on the RSL3.com website. By working with multi-culture teams, RSL3's WPP's message will be one of a unified world through interaction between many countries. In short, we will take criticism and suggestions into account from viewers, and allow serious, creative, peace promoting citizens from around the world to come forward. These teams will join together and stay at RSL3's historic site the following summer to organize their World Peace Project which will premier in the fall of that year. Tours will also continue and RSL3 will be "a-buzzed" with creative activity. This investment from the private sector and the NEH will allow RSL3 to meet the goals of this proposed opportunity, with monies going towards its platform and building a permanent experienced production team to assist qualifying teams with their proposed WPP's. Interaction between nations will allow people from around the world to follow RSL3WPP's quest for peace using webcams, and thereby giving them a say in that peace by having input into existing or future productions. We plan to acquire permission from the songs artist and hope to have live performances from some artist enhancing our impact. RSL3WPP's world mission is to produce innovative ways of promoting world peace, year in and year out. Positioned in between the active Minuteman ICBM's in Minot N.D. and Cavalier Space Force Station five miles away, RSL3's existing notoriety and unique productions will quickly spread around the world making a global impact on world peace.
Worldly Format
RSL3WPP will use its unique 16 silo sprint missile field and 16 dancers to spell out words invoking feelings and curiosity. The complete production will run approximately 45 minutes and will be filmed at night from 6 angles. WPP's may be edited and incorporate the Virtual Reality Program (VRP) relating to the functioning of the SMSC. We will use the past historic information with the present VRP technology to create an exhibition which spans 65 years back and then into the future highlighting the former PAR, which is now Cavalier Space Force Station. RSL3 will take visitors on a history lesson starting in the past (1960-1972), using story line from cinema to produce a updated VRP and interactive 5d theater. This combined presentation may then be shown during the day in the proposed interactive underground theater located in the Remote Launch Operations Building (RLOB).
Attendees will be seated atop the RLOB, a 3 story elevated berm overlooking the sprint missile field silos. There will be a coordinated effort to sync music, missile field lasers, extensive light show, 3D laser projection, and a cinema story-line on a 40 foot inflatable screen. The production begins with the announcer welcoming people to RSL3WPP's first production, as music and extensive lighting schemes show off the site. As the production progresses, a Military Mine-resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle will drive around the 1/2 mile illuminated perimeter road pulling the U.S. Army transport trailer with the 27 foot mounted Sprint Missile (see rsl3.com). The transport will enter the missile field parking equally between the four rows of missile silos. The lighting and sound will climax and come to a silence at which time attendees will be directed to place a pair of virtual reality (VR) goggles over their eyes. A special enhanced VIP seating deck with fans and sound effects will enhance the VRP providing a 3D simulated transportation vehicle for some viewers to traverse from one component of the SMSC to another. The custom VRP will transport the attendees explaining how the SMSC functioned, highlighting the six components, their location across the countryside while putting attendees right in the action of missile launches and intercepts. Those without VR goggles will follow the story-line on the inflatable movie screen. RSL3's philosophy involves an interaction with attendees to stimulate and educate visitors in the humanities without their being aware of it. The inner workings of the SMSC and the humanistic circumstances surrounding such a site, will be meshed into a VRP to run a story-line taken from actual situations, accurate film, photos, personal accounts using humanities advisors to compile a educational and sensational experience. The custom VRP will be designed especially for this production and incorporate the humanities documentation, highlighting the importance of the sites and how it promoted world peace through strength. The VRP experience will then shows an all out simulated nuclear exchange, in which RSL3 sprint missiles will seemingly be launched right in front of viewers as 150 offensive 10 mega-ton Minuteman ICBM's are launched across the horizon. The virtual Reality program will last approximately 8 minutes and end by bringing the attendees back to the missile field. The VRP will show the missile and transport (still in the VR program with goggles on) only adding 16 small missiles (7 foot), placing one in front of each silo. The attendees will then be instructed to remove the goggles and at this time in the production, the 16-7 foot missile shown in the VR program will be brought to life by 16 performers wearing white missile costumes one in front of each silo. The dancers will have voice mics and sing along with the music when appropriate. 3 dimensional (3D) lyrics to the songs will be projected over the dancers with relevant story-line projected on the inflated cinema screen allowing attendees to scan between the cinema screen and missile field reinforcing the message of the music and dancers. Using two dancers per silo, dancers will change the silo covers messages with magnets located on the end of their poles which contact magnets on the cloth silo covers. The missile field has four silos across and four silos down so as scripted songs reference phrases and words, missile silo covers will be spelling out these words giving attendees a visual.
Note: Silo covers are blank at this time.
Dancers will wait for the song "Missile" by Dorothy, to start and then dancers will begin stomping the poles to the beat of the intro. Performers will dance in a synchronized rhythm circling the missile silos with streamers swirling on poles and at one point worshiping the sprint missile on the transport. The silo covers will display "this war is mine" as the song states "I am a missile, I am the fire, love is destruction, this war is mine. A "LOVE" prop, four people each in a letter "L" "O"'V" "E" in four different colors, will be running around kind of lost in everything and at one point worshiping the Sprint missile transport as well, as the lyrics state "love is destruction" multiple times. At the end of the "Missile" song the "LOVE" prop lays scattered around the silos as if LOVE was somehow lost in the missiles' destruction. The love prop will be used in each song and represents the viewers position of concern for how love plays Its role in the production. This is the aggressive part of the production and highlights our obsession with missiles, war and destruction, with lyrics stating " I am a missile, this war is mine" and "your messing with the wrong wolf baby", So here's the part where you need to ask your cell phone (through i tune app or siri) to play "missile" by Dorothy. I highly recommend you listen to this 4 minute song as it is so powerful, it reminds me of "The greatest showman P.T. Barnum", when that movie started the actors are stomping on the bleachers with the music.... and we plan to be doing the same to start the physical performance of "Missile" with the stomping of the poles carried by missile performers. As the song "Missile" is ending a climatic visual pyrotechnic fireworks with a loud pyrotechnic explosions and then silence with the silo message of 1st row="THIS", second row ="WAR", third row="IS" fourth row= "MINE" or "this war is mine" conveying a subconscious message to viewers that "I have control of war".
First song
Missile (by Dorothy)
Your scent gonna waft you over
No way it'll be alright
Your messing with the wrong wolf baby (there is a version which uses the word "fucking" instead of the word "messing"
Darkness gonna break your light
No dread gonna part my thunder
No words gonna change my mind
Your messing with a sickness baby
Your heart is a plague, oh my
oh... my (dancers sing)
I am a missile (silo covers read "I am a mis-sile")
I am the fire
Love is destruction
But this war is mine, this war is mine (silos read "this war is mine")
I am a missile
I am the fire
Love is destruction
But this war is mine, this war is mine (silos read "this war is mine")
I am a missile (silo covers read "I am a mis-sile")
Vengeance is a cold thing, baby
I serve it on a bed of flames
Still think your a hard one, baby
We'll see when the missile rains
rain...... yeah (dancers sing)
I am a missile (silo covers read "I am a mis-sile")
I am the fire
Love is destruction
But this war is mine (silos read "this war is mine")
After the extensive "Ying" of the production we will start to move away from war and it consequences with the song "Free Your Mind" (5min) by En Vogue which will start playing. As the song "free your mind" plays, performers will shed their missiles costumes, filing past the "LOVE" prop which helps to collect the missile costumes, throwing them through a large window frame (prop) inferring the freeing of the mind by discarding the missiles and concept of war by throwing them "out the window". As dancers remove their missile costumes their second layer of costumes will be dress from around the world representing the 16 major countries who currently posses nuclear weapons. As the dancers move along with the song they start to turn the 9 foot wide missile silo covers to their countries flag representing the world stage. The LOVE prop will then seemingly push the missile and transport off the missile field showing love can "overcome hate and remove the missiles of war" and that war is now "out the window" as well. The silo covers will then spell out "free your mind" and then flash the silo covers to show "READ ME..(you gota learn how to) SEE -ME" as the song states "before you can read me, you've got to learn how to see me" . These lyrics run deep into prejudices we all have on many levels, inferring our hate or dislike for people or situations we don't really understand. The dancers will then turn the silo covers to spell "FREE" "YOUR" "MIND" with the bottom four silos showing a blue green earth symbol, ending the song.
Second song
Free Your Mind (by En Vogue)
Prejudice
Wanna do something about it?
Like to hear it?
Here it goes
Free your mind (silos read "free your mind") (dancers sing "free your mind")
I wear tight clothing, high heal shoes
It doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute, no ,no (dancers rotate around to the love prop who removes missile costumes
I like rap music, wear hip-hop cloths and then throws them out the prop window frame)
That doesn't mean that I'm out selling dope no,no,no, (dancers turn silo covers to match dress and country flags of origin)
Oh my forgive me for having straight hair, no
That doesn't mean there's another blood in my heir, yeah, yeah
I might date another race or color
It doesn't mean i don't like my strong black brothers
Free your mind, free your mind,
Ooh, why oh why must it be this way?
Ooh
Before you can read me, you got to learn how to see me (silos read "read me see me")
I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow (silos read "free your mind")
Be colored blind, don't be so shallow
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be colored blind, don't be so shallow (silo read "dont beso shal -low")
So I'm a sista, buy thing with cash
That really dosen't mean that all my credit's bad, oh
So why dispute me and waist my time
Because you really think the price is high for me
I cant look, without being watched, no
You rang my buy before I made up my mind, ow
Oh, now attitude, why even bother?
I cant change your mind, you cant change my color (silo reads" chng mind chng clor)
Free you mind, free your mind
Ooh, Why, oh, why must it be this way?
free your mind, free your mind
Before you can read me you have to learn how to see me (silos read "read me see me")
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind don't be so shallow
Free your mind and the rest will follow (silos read "free your mind")
Be color blind don't be so shallow
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind don't be so shallow (silo read "dont beso shal -low")
(instrumental)
(dancers again file by and rotate around to the "love prop" who removes countries' costumes and throw them out the window frame. This shows that we have freed ourselves from the countries of origin and now they are "out the window")
Note: costumes have vel-cro seems which runs top to bottom for easy removal
At the end of the instrumental the dancers are in white leotards with letters on their "butts" which spell out MAKE LOVE NOT WAR which they shake in step with the end of the instrumental. This is important because when the song "Mind Game" plays, at the end it says "I want you to make love not war, I know, you've heard it before" referencing this part in the production.
Free your mind, free your mind
Ooh, Why, oh, why must it be this way?
Before you can read me you have to learn how to see me (silos read "read me see me")
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind don't be so shallow
Free your mind and the rest will follow (silos read "free your mind")
Be color blind don't be so shallow
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Free your mind (silos read "free your mind" at the end of the song")
Note: bottom row of silos display four blue green earths.
People are people by Depeche Mode explains how "different colors and we're different creeds and different people have different needs" and this will be seen by the 16 dancers small flag from their country still on their chest. The intro has sounds of metal striking metal and as the song progresses the dancers will begin sparing with swords to those sounds. As one countries dancer has the other on the ground with a sword (as the dancer is seemly killed) by another, the love prop will come over and remove the flag off their chest allowing the dancer to rise up in spirit finally free from their country of origin. This will show that beneath the dress of various countries a "soul" if you will will emerge and that we are all the same deep down inside. Other dancers will spar in combative jesters and the same will apply as the love prop will dispose of the countries flag by throwing them out the window, relinquishing the persons attachment to that country. As the songs states "I cant understand, what makes a man hate another man help me understand" this continues until all 16 dancers are striped from their country of origin "chest flag" into the white leotards free from any control. The dancer then approaches the silo cover with their flag and turns it over to reflect the earth emblem thereby freeing their mind, body and soul of control.
Third song
People Are People (by Depeche Mode)
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
So, we're different colors and we're different creeds
And different people have different needs
It's obvious you hate me, though, I've done nothing wrong
I've never even met you, so, what could I have done?
I can't understand
What makes a man (silo reads: what make a man)
Hate another man (Silo flashes why hate othr man)
Help me understand (silos reads Help Me UNDR STND)
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
People are people, so why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully
Help me understand
(Help me understand) help me understand
And now you're punching, and you're kicking, and you're shouting at me
I'm relying on your common decency
So far, it hasn't surfaced, but I'm sure it exists
It just takes a while to travel from your head to your fist (Cinima screen shows a human with anger emanating from it head to it fist as dancers spar.)
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
In this production we have the "ying" and the "yang". The Ying is the build up using the "Missile" song by Dorothy with little missiles worshiping the larger missile transports dancing around the launch missile silo's etc. and then the freeing of the mind from missiles and war, as well as their individual countries expectations, of their support for war. Then comes the "yang". This is the balance point of the production when the song "I want to make the world turn around" by the Steve Miller Band which references a plan which is mainstream as to what most people want and don't want in life. We plan to have the missile silo covers made to reflect the earth and to light up from underneath, spinning around as the song "I want to make the world turn around". At first glance the earths will be spun clockwise around by the dancers dressed in a white leotard with a see through face shield which hides their faces. The earths will spin clockwise in sync and the turn around to counter clockwise as the song states the lyrics. Words like peace, love and pain will flash between the rows of earths revolving. As the song states I want to make the world turn around the earths on the silo covers spin counterclockwise as to go backwards in time and the cinema screen story-line goes in reverse showing planes and bombs and explosions and negative dialog reversing back to a peaceful start as to reverse the war scenes shown earlier. The cinima screen will show scenes depicting the words from the songs supporting a story line of that song. Foe instance when this song states "save a human life" it can depict a child being save from an abortion, being held up by a human figure.
fourth song
I Want To Make The World Turn Around (by The Steve Miller Band)
I don't want to live in a world of darkness
I want to live in a world of light
I don't want to live in a world that's heartless
I want to live in a world of sight
Well you know, I want to make the world turn around (dancers seemingly spin the earth silo covers counterclockwise.)
Living in a world of justice
Living in a world of shame
Living in a world of freedom
Living in a world of pain
Well you know, I want to make the world turn around
Turn the darkness into light
Turn the hunger into life
Turn the wrong into right
Put an end to the strife
Turn the blindness into sight
Save a human life
Make the world turn around
I want to live in a world of gladness
I want to know what your heart is made of
Don't want to live in a world of sadness
I want to live in a world of love
Well you know, I want to make the world turn around
Living in a world of justice
Living in a world of light
Living in a world of freedom
Living in a world of sight
I want to send a message
To every boy and girl
I want to send a message
About the world
We got to build it up (silo reads "got2 bild it up")
Stop tearing it down (siloFlashes to "stop tear it down"
We got to build it up (silo reads "bild it up")
Make the world turn around (silos end "make worl turn arod")
"The Window" by the Steve Miller Band starts (again please listen to this 4 min. song). The intro allows lasers to twinkle with music as the lyrics start, The song states "ask my baby what she want to be...she'll say a monkey swinging in a tree, ask my baby whats shes thinking of... she'll say there nothing, greater then love". The sixteen dancers will be worshiping the LOVE prop, at which time the song references "' look through the window.... tell me what do you see?"..."a beautiful planet ....peace and harmony", The LOVE prop and dancers will now be looking through the large window prop at the inflated cinema screen, showing a woman in a spaceship looking out over the earth which has a enlightened "Peace Sign" on it. (see photos below). The person in the picture is a woman who's identity will be changing to represent multiple cultures both man and women. The picture conveys a multicultural independent "view in" on our earth depicting a world with peace and harmony. The missile silo covers will read " PEACE AND HAR- MONY" (with the prop "LOVE" using the "E" to be placed at the end of the peace. The song then states " love is surrounded, we are one you and I, gather your leaves together, cause only love until we die.. until we die" The song then states "ask my baby what she's going through....she'll say the same thing, the same thing as you" at which time the cinema screen will show the turmoil of what all countries go through, flashing; natural disasters, protest, wars, starvation, flooding, etc. on the cinema screen. The story-line is showing we are all going through "the same thing as you" like the song says conveying "we are one" in a sense of "concern for all countries" aspects of life. The song then say's look through the window.. tell me what do you see.. a beautiful planet ...peace and harmony" at which time the LOVE prop and the dancers look through to the cinema screen and see people getting along, peace accords, kids running in a field etc.. The song again states "love is surrounded.. we are one you and I,...gather your leaves together .. cause only love until we die.. until we die.. "This is when The LOVE prop lays down, surrounded by the dancers laying down encircling the love prop with 3 foot shaped leaves with the earth (blue and green) on one side and the multiple country flags representations on the other, allowing performers to turn the leaves back and forth with the message of world peace from their country to surround the "LOVE prop to form a flower as the song ends with "cause only love until we die...until we die", At which time the silos will be turned over to LOVE UNTL WE DIE with the empty silo covers having earth blue/green emblems. Again, the songs ending, allows for the synchronizing of missile field lasers to music twinkling and fading away.
Fifth song
The Window (by The Steve Miller Band)
Ask my baby what she wants to be
She'll say a monkey swingin' in a tree (cinema shows a monkey swinging in a love tree)
Ask my baby what she's thinkin' of
She'll say there's nothing greater than love (8 dancers will edify the love prop at this time and then join the love prop to look through the window)
Well, look through the window
Tell me what do you see (the cinema screen which is showing a women in a spaceship looking out over the earth with a highlighted peace sign on
A beautiful planet it, the woman will be changing to include multi cultures both men and women. see photo below)
Peace and harmony (silos read "peac and har- mony")
Think love you're surrounded
We are one you and I
Gather your leaves together
There's only love until we die
Until we die (silos read "love untl we die)
Ask my baby what she's goin' through (the cinema screen will show floods, riots, starvation, war etc. what all countries experience)
She'll say the same thing, the same thing as you
Ask my baby what she's thinkin' of
She'll say there's nothing greater than love
Look through the window (8 dancers will edify the love prop at this time and then join the love prop to look through the window)
Tell me what do you see
A beautiful planet (cinema screen and see people getting along, peace accords, kids running in a field etc..
Peace and harmony (silos read "peac and har- mony")
Think love you're surrounded
We are one you and I
Gather your leaves together
There's only love until we die (silos read "love untl we die)
Until we die
(This is when The LOVE prop lays down, surrounded by the dancers laying down encircling the love prop with 3 foot shaped leaves with the earth, blue and green, on one side and the multiple country flags representations on the other, allowing performers to turn the leaves back and forth showing love for the earth from their former countries.)
Mind games by John Lennon will show the dancers in a new light as meditating mind gorillas as the song states, as the cinema screen will welcome viewers to partake in a group or "world meditation" whereby they close their eyes and follow along with the songs lyrics. 8 Dancers will place gorilla mask on as the sit in a crossed legged position in front of a silo. Mind games shows that meditation both individual and on a group or world level can bring awareness to the world and if we can focus the lyrics especially as the song mind games runs into "imagine" by John Lennon whereby he had written what he felt was the blueprint of a truly peaceful co-existence. As the song states you just cant beat on those mind gorillas, 8 dancers with mask sit in front of 8 silos meditating while the other 8 dancers seemingly beat (with drumsticks having a soft ball on the end) on the (head) masks of the 8 meditating dancers sitting cross-legged. The cinema screen will follow the words closely giving a picture of the world coming together and everyone meditating showing soul power on a karmic wheel etc.) The eight dancers not meditating will turn silo covers and repeat the motion of beating on the gorilla mask. This enhances the lyrics you just cant beat to mind gorillas (pioneers for peace) who are meditating toward a global enlightenment, lifting the veil, searching for the grail through space and time. Cinema screen shows millions of mind gorillas all over the world showing people meditating as one and the world turns to a ball of light and explodes etc.. The end of the songs I want you to make love not war I know you've herd it before. This is where the viewers remember seeing it written on the butts of the dancers. The silo covers read MAKE LOVE NOT WAR at the end of the song.
"Mind Games"
We're playing those mind games together
Pushing the barriers planting seeds (cinema screen shows the planting of seeds of peace and love into the earth and them sprouting)
Playing the mind guerrilla
Chanting the Mantra peace on earth
We all been playing those mind games forever
Some kinda druid dudes lifting the veil
Doing the mind guerrilla
Some call it magic the search for the grail
Love is the answer and you know that for sure
Love is a flower you got to let it grow (8 dancers surround the love prop with leaves turning it in to a flower with leaves which turn to show light on one side and a peace sign on the other)
So keep on playing those mind games together
Faith in the future out of the now (silo read OUT OF THE NOW)
You just can't beat on those mind guerrillas ( at this point the 8 dancers mimic beating on the heads of those meditating)
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind
Yeah we're playing those mind games forever
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer and you know that for sure
Yes is surrender you got to let it go
So keep on playing those mind games together
Doing the ritual dance in the sun
Millions of mind guerrillas
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel
Keep on playing those mind games forever
Raising the spirit of peace and love
(I want you to make love, not war
I know you've heard it before)
Then Imagine by john Lennon finishes the production with people listening to the lyrics while they seek the light or as John Lennon said "a dance in the sun". Imagine challenges everyone to "feel for a second" what it would be like to have nothing to defend? "Nothing to kill or die for" that this state of peace "is" possible if we relinquish the "concepts" of heaven, hell, possessions, country, religion, brotherhood of man, and imagine all the people sharing all the world, you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not to only one, I hope some day you will join us, and the world will live as one...~ John Lennon. This is when I let the dance company show it ballet skills dancing around the silos. The cinema screen will follow the lyrics showing all the world living as one
Seventh song
Imagine (by John Lennon)
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
The "LOVE" prop reemerges and join hands with the dancers and circle the silos with blue/green earth covering, large earth. Showing a love for the earth As the song "imagine" ends the missile field top row will have spell out the word "LOVE" with the far right silos from the bottom up spelling "HOPE" sharing the "E" with "LOVE", then the silo covers will change to read PEACE BE WITH YOU with blank silo covers showing blue and green earths.
The lights will come up on the site, thanking people for attending etc.. "Fly like and eagle" by The Steve Miller Band will be played at the dispersing of the crowd.
Physical Mission
The Physical mission of Remote Site Launch 3 World Peace Project (RSL3WPP) is to provide a physical site, a platform if you will, for production teams from around the world to compete to present their message using song, dance, props, etc and the extensive production capabilities incorporated into RSL3 infrastructure. Lasers, which were used in the missile field to detect movement in the past, will be reinstalled and able to change color and movement supporting the lighting scheme. RSL3 Missile Site pioneered world peace between the United States and Russia (USSR) with the original SALT Treaty (1972). RSL3's WPP will launch world peace where we once planned to launch world war. RSL3 will use its 43 acre site highlighting it's 16 silo sprint missile field, 12,500 sq. ft. Remote Launch Operations Bunker (RLOB), 2,500 sq. ft. Limited Area Sentry Station (LASS), Exclusion Area Sentry Station (EASS), 4 layers of security fencing and extensive lighting scheme. The NEH award and private contributions will enhance RSL3's existing infrastructures thereby providing a platform to make available to the world allowing access to RSL3's site and its exhibition capabilities to people from around the world. Our Mobile exhibition will then "take that show on the road" to underrepresented communities, and the interactive underground theater will provide added excitement for viewing during daytime tours and in inclement weather. RSL3 functions as a historic museum offering interpretive tours, living history presentations, and a mobile 27 foot sprint intercept missile mounted on a US Army trailer. This trailer will be pulled around to area schools by a MRAP (yet to be purchased) and allow schools to view the Virtual Reality Program depicting the SMSC of the past, but also the World Peace Project recorded and shown through the same goggles. Each year a new WPP arises and the gig never gets old. The goal is to reach underrepresented areas and schools, put the mobile exhibition on loan to local museums and possibly have two set-ups to allow better penetration going south in the winter months. The missile and trailer is currently pulled in area parades and recently displayed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base 2022 "Northern Thunder" Space and Air Expo. (see photo below)
Audience, Marketing and Promotion
Tourism is growing in this area with the existing Frost/Fire facility and their ski loge offering year around activities; frost/winter and fire/summer productions offering live mainstream Broadway performances located only 30 minutes away. There are also interactive fossil digs at the Morton Fossil Museum located 35 miles west of RSL3 and the International Peace Gardens located 2 hours northwest. Visitors feedback has been phenomenal with RSL 3's tours seeing a average of 1400 visitors per season. This number is expected to grow substantially with the introduction of RSL3WPP capabilities and the offering of an extended tour season to include K-12 schools. Also, a recent (2023) announcement from North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum stating "the Pembina Gorge State Recreation Area (PGSRA) will be developed into North Dakota’s 14th state park. Development of the park will include underground utilities, roads, an approximately 35-site campground, six; all-season full-service cabins, a comfort station, shops and seasonal staff accommodations at a cost of approximately $8 million. Future development of the park may include a visitor center with indoor and outdoor learning areas with retail and office space. The newly funded Pembina State Park will be built 15 miles north of RSL3. Icelandic State Park, with twice the facilities and a welcome center, is currently located 15 miles east of RSL 3 and promotes RSL3 tours supplying a fresh group of attendees during their weekly stay at the park. This newly announced Park will only add attendees to existing attractions in the area but and the proven fact that people naturally love to explore, makes RSL3 and its surrounding attractions a exciting area to visit thereby supporting the local economy. Research has shown an estimated 2 million people live within a 2 hour drive of northeast North Dakota, with "our friends to the north", as they are called in Winnipeg, having a population exceeding 750,000. The goal of RSL3WPP is to put RSL3, North Dakota, and The United States of America "on the map" around the world, with its yearly World Peace Project productions.
RSL3WPP Summary
RSL3WPP's first production scheduled for the summer of 2025, will breakdown the human obsession with nuclear missiles, the prejudices and ability to shed this obsession, and then show peaceful possibilities for the earth and then how to reach these goals, all in 45 minutes! We as a world population are vulnerable to nuclear war and must free our minds by realizing we all are bound by basic thoughts and needs and that were really not that different in what we want out of life and for our families.
Through song and dance we then "spell out" our concept solution on a "notepad" missile field, producing yearly exhibitions unlike any other ever seen in the world. We plan to offer workshops for k-12 academia over the summer promoting dialogue with visitors and production crews alike. Through private contributions and a possible National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grant, RSL3WPP will retrofit the 43 acre site using the existing infrastructure to offer a "one of a kind" permanent, modern day production platform, to include lighting , sound, special effects, seating, props, inflatable movie screen, costumes, etc.. RSL3WPP is thereby showing that through the RSL3 historical missile site and worldwide cooperation, future world peace projects will continue to originate and emanate outward to the free world and contribute to future world peace. Through RSL3WPP we will not only promote peace through reflection, understanding, and dialogue, but also from the "strength and will" of the human specie as a whole combined in a global world peace awareness. Although this seems impossible in these trying times, it's time like these when people need to embark on a transformative journey away from fear and control, returning to our source under the nurturing guidance of our creator. This will be the continual thrust of RSL3WPP as we plan to open peoples' minds to the possibility of world peace through yearly productions or exhibition's using RSL3's historical site. In other words... Peace does exist, I'm aware it exists and I believe there should be more world peace. We as a species should always seek peace in the world, as well as lift our human vibration to a more peaceful level.
Final Say
Finally, if you made it this far in my peace rant, you may want to help in some shape or form. The stakes are high and this undertaking can make a difference for years to come. Planning is already in the process and the upcoming, first ever, two years in the planning stage, 2025 WPP, is the owners "baby". in 2026 it (could be) a team from Canada, Saudi Arabia and Poland, in 2027 a team from Mexico, Sweden and Canada. Hopefully the countries will follow their teams and the international stage will be set. The scope of RSL3 is extensive in that, the site itself changed world history toward peace in the "past" and we intend to (at least) have an impact on world peace in the "present" and for years to come. The enhancing of our website (rsl3.com) for a worldwide interactive viewing experience is vital in reaching the masses and we will employ Strategic Marketing, a web design and marketing firm out of New York and California to ensure this happens. The creativeness of this proposed project will have peers saying "who thinks of doing something like this"? Well, I do. Melbourne Sann the executive director, has this proposed plan, and lets just say that everything I've ever done in life has turned out better then even "I" expected. This will be no different and with the already local support and the recent state support securing a 2023 Historical state grant for partial RLOB HAVC renovation, we are on our way. After seeing the layout of the 2025 production above you kind of get the feeling of where we intend to go. With the extensive abbreviations from texting, the message can be limitless on the missile silo covers. Also we intend to offer silo messages to reflect the native languages of production teams countries as well as English posting options on the website to reach the average person on the street of that countries origin. A plan is underway to have the silo covers transformed into a Digital projection apparatus which lights up from underneath allowing a program to easily accommodate future demands and language barriers. This investment from the private sector and the NEH is important to RSL3WPP because it offers a chance to promote peace in the humanities through dialogue to a worldwide audience. RSL3World Peace Project's existence not only promotes world peace but also the United States of America's contributions to world peace in the past and a continual contribution towards future world peace getting our message out to the world, one production at a time. The first production slated for 2025 will be proceeded by preparations in the summer and fall of 2024, with renovations already underway. This is a big undertaking and my team is up to the challenge. We plan to get the site "dialed in" adding features and abilities as we go. Those interested with skills and a sense of supporting a worthy cause need to apply using a contact form below.
Thank you for you interest and support
